Google Art Project

As usual, I’m late to the party and belatedly I’m discovering Google Art Project.

If you are as (unfashionably) late as I am, please check out the Google Art Project page. It is so cool! The objects are captured in terrific high-quality resolution, and the interface is really neat.

(I do wish Google had included more documentation for its curated selection. For instance, just how many paintings are there in the Google Art Project? How can I search for the collection that has the contributed the most paintings? How was the selection put together? Maybe this is the librarian wannabe in me talking.)
